The former “The Partridge Family” star and teen idol, David Cassidy was arrested Wednesday and is facing a drunken driving charge after failing to dim his headlights.
Officer Tom Jones arrested 63-year-old Cassidy in Schodack, New York. At the time of his arrest, Cassidy was given a sobriety test and the results concluded that he had a .10 percent blood alcohol level.
Cassidy was arraigned and remanded to the Rensselaer County Jail with a $2,500 bail. He has since been released after making bail and is scheduled to return to Town Court on September 4.
Chief Bernhard Peter told PEOPLE that Cassidy “was cooperative. He was a total gentleman and didn’t give us a problem whatsoever.”
This is not Cassidy’s first run in with the police. He was previously arrested for a DUI in Florida in 2010. He was ordered by the court to serve a year probation and he had his license suspended for six months after he pleaded no contest in February 2011. He was also ordered to attend a school for drunk drivers, fined $500 and had to serve 50 hours of community service for his violation.
