The big story from the Dallas Cowboys-Detroit Lions game today wasn’t so much the 31-30 thriller that the Lions won in the final seconds as it was Dez Bryant’s epic meltdown on the Cowboys sideline. The Dallas wide receiver went off on, well, pretty much everyone. Words don’t really do Bryant’s temper tantrum justice, so watch the video below.
After the Lions scored a touchdown with just 12 seconds left on the clock, Bryant lost his cool. Not only did Bryant get into it with fellow player Jason Witten today, he also gave Tony Romo, head coach Jason Garrett and wide receivers coach Derek Dooley a piece of his mind.
Ironically enough, Bryant made the following post on Twitter just days before his sideline explosion:
I see I have to be extra careful about what I say

While a lot of guys would probably say they were sorry if they were caught going off on a coach and other players during the game, Bryant wasn’t exactly what you’d call apologetic. “My passion is always positive. I’m not saying anything wrong. I’m not saying anything bad. It’s all positive…Even when I look angry, it’s all good passion…In order to win you have to be passionate about this game. You have to let that dog come out and put it all on the line,” Bryant told the Dallas Morning News.
Even Cowboys owner Jerry Jones doesn’t have a problem with Bryant’s behavior on the sideline. “That’s emotion and I don’t place any issue on his demeanor or his sideline activity,” Jones said. “He’s a very emotional player and this was a tough game for him to compete in because he wanted to really contribute and do everything he could for the team and to win.”
This wasn’t the first time (and probably won’t be the last time) that Bryant has gone off on the Cowboys sideline. Bryant had a little fit back in September after hurting his ankle. This time, a Gatorade cooler was the recipient of his anger.
