Diana Ross opened up her home over the weekend in Greenwich, Connecticut so that her son, Evan, could marry singer Ashlee Simpson.

The couple first appeared in public as a couple last summer, with Evan proposing not long after that. The duo were spotted out several times with Simpson’s son, Bronx, and things got serious pretty quickly. Earlier this year, Evan said they just wanted to be married, and that it didn’t matter what the ceremony was like.

“Honestly, we could go and get married right now, wherever. We just want to be married. We’re in love. This is the most incredible time I could ever think of in my life and I’m young, but the same time, I’ve lived a different life than most and I can’t think of a happier moment,” he said.

Simpson reportedly had her son walk her down the aisle, while sister Jessica was her maid of honor and her niece and nephew were flower girl and ring-bearer.

The singer and former reality star has said that she is still friendly with her exes, including Ryan Cabrera and Pete Wentz, who is the father of her son Bronx. Wentz says the two of them had their problems, but continue to work together for the sake of their son.

“I feel like we both realize that we’re parents and we’re in it for our kid. That’s made it really easy,” Wentz said during an appearance on Watch What Happens Live. “I feel like, as a mom, she’s awesome. She’s an awesome mom and we get along really well when it comes to our kid now.”
