Netflix announced in June that it was renewing horror drama Hemlock Grove for a second season, but things have been relatively quiet around the show since then (other than its two Emmy nominations).
In early August, we learned that they were starting to set up for production, and last week, producer Eli Roth shared a photo from a read through for an episode.
Now, some new casting news has come out. Deadline reports that Madeline Brewer will appear in the second season, playing a “graphic novelist entering town”. She will reportedly have a recurring role.
Brewer already has experience working on Netflix dramas, having appeared in seven episodes of Orange is the New Black. She played Tricia Miller on the show. This is, so far, her only other acting credit. SPOILER: Given the fate of her character in the first season, it’s good to see she’s got more work lined up.
According to Roth, there are going to be “so many cool surprises” in Hemlock Grove’s upcoming season. After the way the first season ended, I can’t even begin to imagine.
