Last month, US Weekly exclusively confirmed that television personality and interior designer Nate Berkus had popped the question to his boyfriend of nine months Jeremiah Brent. The proposal took place on April 8 on the top of Machu Picchu in Peru.
Now, the couple has officially tied the knot!
On May 3, Berkus and Brent were married during an intimate ceremony in New York City at the New York Public Library. They were the first same-sex couple to be married at the New York landmark.
They were both dressed in style with Berkus wearing a J. Crew suit and Brent wearing a Saint Laurent. They exchanged gold bands from Van Cleef & Arpels, and the ceremony was officiated by Sheri Salata, the president of OWN (Oprah Winfrey Network) and Harpo Studios.
There were nearly 220 guests present for their nuptials. Among those were: Rachael Ray, Oprah Winfrey, Busy Philipps, Katie Lee, Rebecca Minkoff, Irene Neuwirth, and Elizabeth Hendrickson.
Many of Berkus’ and Brent’s friends took to Twitter, after the ceremony, to offer their congratulations.
