Ubisoft today announced the first downloadable content (DLC) that will be available for Assassin’s Creed III. Unfortunately, it’s not the provocative alternate history tale of “The Tyranny of King Washington.” It will however, give players a little more to do with the title if they blew all their holiday cash and can’t get hold of Ubisoft’s Far Cry 3.
The “Hidden Secrets” Pack is available today for gamers who bought the season pass for Assassin’s Creed. The content will be available on consoles and PC “next week,” though the Wii U launch of the DLC has been delayed to an indefinite “later date.”
The DLC will contain three new missions, “The Lost Mayan Ruins,” “The Ghost of War,” and “A Dangerous Secret.” Each mission will lead to unlocking a bonus weapon: the Saw Tooth Cutlass, the Pontaic War Club, or the Flintlock Musket. The Mayan Ruins mission has already been offered as a pre-order mission for gamers who pre-ordered Assassin’s Creed III from GameStop.
In addition to the missions, the DLC will come with two new single-player costumes – the “Captain of the Aquila” and the “Colonial Assasin.” Two new multiplayer characters will also be added to the game, the “Redcoat” and the “Sharpshooter.”
