Discovery - owned HowStuffWorks.com is launching its first-ever marketing campaign in hopes of attracting more users and advertisers.Discovery Communications purchased the U.S. branch of HowStuffWorks six months ago for $250 million. The marketing campaign includes 30-second spots on Discovery's online properties along with its TV properties.

The venture will include Oprah.com. Winfrey will have editorial control over the joint venture and will be responsible for the network's programming and branding.
