Last year, Twitter introduced a new style of user profile, and one of the best features was the ability to pin tweets to the top of your page. Despite Twitter’s typically mobile-first nature, however, you couldn’t do this from the mobile apps.
That changes now. Twitter announced that you can now pin tweets from Android and iOS:
Starting today, you can pin a Tweet to your profile from iOS and Android. Go ahead, make a statement. 📌 pic.twitter.com/iK31aIsK6U

As you can see, it basically works the same way as it does from the desktop.
It’s not clear why it took Twitter so long to make this available. It almost feels like a major oversight, but better late than never.
The feature is particularly good for businesses as it lets you promote features, announcements, or anything else you want people to see first and foremost. Facebook offers a similar feature.
