Dear Pinterest,

The 502 errors are getting old.

For a website that has the claim to fame of being one of the fastest-growing on the Interwebs, and having garnered a fistful of VC dollars, the frequency of the dreaded 502 is getting ridiculous.

And, while were at it, why hasn’t the iOS app been fixed yet? We reported here that a former iOS engineer at Pinterest had left to start his own company. Was he canned for this terrible app? Or did he leave due to lack of support? A job listing for an iOS engineer has been on Pinterest‘s About page for weeks. The iOS app was last “updated” on Feb. 21, 2012. I’ve never been able to give it a run. It crashes immediately upon opening. Many other reviewers have said the same thing.

This weekend SXSW will be in full swing. Will Pinterest be up to handle the stuff that gets pinned? Or, will pinners even be able to do so from the outrageously unreliable mobile app?

Concerns like these have been floated for weeks, to say nothing of questions about Pinterest Copyright Policy vs Pinterest Terms” target=”_blank”>Pinterest‘s copyright issues. Management has been curiously silent.

We pinners await your reply.
