As reported on Forbes.com, a high-concept art experience was unveiled by Twitter and Samsung at SXSW this year, merging art, technology, and social media.

Going by the name #Feed House, the event changed the way most people see art by transforming it into an interactive experience and joining it with real-time trending topics. Exhibitions were created by various artists which turned data from Twitter into art you can both see and hear. One well-received exhibit was a colorful computerized view of the Austin skyline behind gently-moving sea creatures which represented certain topics being tweeted about; the creatures expanded both in size and population when the topics grew in trend.

Another installation allowed users to make music with their facial expressions, which were digitally pieced together on a screen in rhythm to the sounds.

Twitter users seemed to really enjoy the exhibit and tweeted their thoughts:

Pretty nifty–twitter makes art out of all the top trends and music out of facial expressions #feed http://t.co/CHhH9I3x 10 hours ago via web ·  Reply ·  Retweet ·  Favorite · powered by @socialditto
