Earlier today we told you about Randy Moss’ workout for the San Francisco 49ers. It was quite unique as head coach Jim Harbaugh would be the one throwing to the former Pro Bowl receiver.
Apparently the 49ers liked what they saw as the team signed Moss to a one year contract today. There was some speculation that Moss would ultimately end up in New Orleans where he had a workout last week, but nothing ever came to fruition on that pairing. I guess now the question is can Randy Moss, Alex Smith, Vernon Davis, and Micahel Crabtree all co-exist in the same offense? We’ll see, but how ever it unfolds, it’ll be entertaining.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter broke the news of Moss joining the Niners via Twitter:
Filed to ESPN: 49ers reached agreement on a one-year deal with wide receiver Randy Moss.
As to be expected the news of Moss donning the scarlet and gold had Twitterers tweeting a full capacity:
Randy Moss now a 49er. I hope this doesn’t drive T.O. to another non-suicidal, completely accidental drug overdose.
Breaking: Randy Moss signs 1 yr deal with 49ers. Giving Alex Smith one more target to overthrow completely.
Return of Randy Moss, part 2: The 49ers will visit the Patriots in 2012.
The 49ers just shared the good news to Kyle Williams about signing Randy Moss, but Williams dropped it to the ground.
Randy Moss is heading to the 49ers. Congrats to all the marijuana dealers in the Bay area.
