Anonymous has always been a group that loves to get a lot of attention for their actions. They have hacked churches to make a statement, but to also get the attention. They got the bad kind of attention when members of LulzSec were arrested, but that didn’t get them down. Twitter is the latest conquest that sees the hashtag #ILoveAnonymous trending worldwide.
Twitter trends are finicky and don’t last very long. If you can get a trend to last for 10 minutes, then it’s a mind blowing success. Anonymous has kept #ILoveAnonymous trending for over an hour now. They moved from the US to a worldwide trend. While some of the tweets are jokes and attacks on the group, most are in support of the hacktivist group.
The Tweets keep flooding in and show no signs of stopping. I started writing this five minutes ago and there are 250 new tweets. If that’s not a massive trend, I don’t know what is. Here are some of our favorites:
