The God Of War franchise is one of Sony’s biggest and best things it has going for it right now. Today, on the Playstation Facebook page, a strangely vague promo post is up that says “Will Vengeance Bring Redemption?” and it features the date 4.19.2012, which is next Thursday.

The general consensus on the Facebook page is that this is for a new God of War announcement. This also falls in line with job openings last year at Sony Santa Monica which hinted at a multiplayer portion in the new GOW whenever it would come out.

“This is not the end of God of War,” Sony Santa Monica studio boss John Hight said after God of War 3 was released. “This is definitely the end of the trilogy, but we’re [going to] continue to do God of War games. We’re [going to] be very careful about what we do. We’re the keepers of the franchise and we don’t want to see it ruined or polluted.”

I have a feeling it could also be a God of War game for the Playstation Vita…..but I guess we’ll find out next week!
