The POTUS with the mostest made an appearance on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon last night and along with conducting a more traditional interview with the host, President Obama also participated in one of Fallon’s most popular segments.

Obama was met with massive applause as he joined Fallon and The Roots on stage to slow jam the news.

The President used the platform to continue his favorite topic as of late: student loans.

“On July 1st of this year, the interest rates on Stafford student loans, the same loans that many of you use to help pay for college, are set to double. That means some hard-working students will be paying about a thousand dollars extra just to get their education. So I’ve called on Congress to prevent this from happening. What we’ve said is simple: now is not the time to make school more expensive for our young people,” jammed the President.

Okay, he didn’t really jam it. Obama’s delivery may have been a little speech-like, but Fallon made up for it with a more sultry tone:

“Aw yeah, you should listen to the President – or as I like to call him, the Preezy of the United Steezy.”

Check out the performance below for some nice references to Kim Kardashian & Kanye West as well as Tim Tebow:

Fallon sure seemed excited about the chance to slow jam with Obama:

And the PResident continued to use the Twitter hashtag #DontDoubleMyRate to promote his Late Night appearance:

It’s not only Democrats that are hopping on that hashtag. Republican Speaker John Boehner used it to comment on the current student loan issue:

“With student loan mess, Democrats are reaping what they sowed. #dontdoublemyrate,” he tweeted.
