George Zimmerman’s Website Has Been Taken Down

File this one under “I’m surprised it didn’t happen sooner”. The Sun-Sentinel is reporting that George Zimmerman’s website has been officially disabled. Zimmerman is currently facing second degree murder charges in the fatal shooting of Trayvon Martin. He was released late Sunday night on $150,000 bail, much to the dismay of just about every person on the planet.

According to an official statement, the removal of Zimmerman’s highly controversial website was entirely intentional. The goal, apparently, is for Zimmerman to limit his web presence as much as humanly possible.

Until its closure, the website was used to pay for the guy’s increasingly pricy legal fees. However, apparently attorney Mark O’Mara plans to have Zimmerman declared indigent, which means taxpayers will be taking care of the bills accrued during the trial. I’m sure that news is going to make scores of people extremely happy.

Twitter users, of course, seem pretty excited about the website’s closure.
