Clamoring for more footage from director Ridley Scott’s upcoming sci-fi blockbuster “Prometheus”? If so, then the recently-released making-of featurette is probably something you’ll want to watch this morning. In addition to interviews with the acclaimed filmmaker and his impressive cast, the clip also features some brand new footage to obsess over. And Scott can remained as tight-lipped as he wants about the project — this is a prequel to the director’s sci-fi horror masterpiece “Alien”. My excitement level is inches away from exploding through the proverbial roof. Expect to see me in the theater on opening day.
In case you’re behind on the times, here’s a quick synopsis:
Ridley Scott, director of “Alien” and “Blade Runner,” returns to the genre he helped define. With PROMETHEUS, he creates a groundbreaking mythology, in which a team of explorers discover a clue to the origins of mankind on Earth, leading them on a thrilling journey to the darkest corners of the universe. There, they must fight a terrifying battle to save the future of the human race.
“Prometheus”, which stars Noomi Rapace, Michael Fassbender, Patrick Wilson, Charlize Theron, Idris Elba, Guy Pearce, and Patrick Wilson, takes to the stars on June 8th. If you haven’t already started planning your entire summer around its release, then you should probably get that taken care of as soon as possible.
