33-year old Tommy Marth, who played saxophone for The Killers, died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound this week. His body was discovered in his Las Vegas home on Monday. Very few details have been released about his suicide or the circumstances surrounding it.
The Killers are an American rock band whose first album was released in 2004; since then they have released three more albums and toured for almost six years before taking a break to work on solo projects. Marth played with the band on two of the albums and joined them on their 2008-2009 tour.
Marth was unmarried and had no children. His bandmates tweeted about their loss earlier this week.
