The Kentucky Derby is anyone’s race. Unless you get a freak of nature horse like Secretariat, the race could be run over and over again with a different result every time. That doesn’t stop people from using every resource and method out there for picking their favorites.
One method is probably as good as another. Some people just choose the prettiest horse. Others choose the one with the best name. Some people spend weeks watching the favorites and analyzing post positions to get their gambling strategy down to a “science”.
What ever your strategy is, we can all agree that it is the most exciting 2 minutes in sports. Twitter is abuzz with the latest picks, betting strategies, and general hoopla that always comes with the first Saturday in May. Who knows, you could even use a betting strategy revolving around which horses are trending the most.
