A couple of weeks ago, Rovio launched the newest part of their social empire: A Facebook version of Angry Birds. Well they have now taken that one step further by making tournaments so you and all of your friends can see who is the most proficient at killing pigs!

The new social part of Angry Birds for Facebook features some pretty cool features:

Weekly Tournaments

Think you’re the best Angry Birds player around? Prove it with new weekly tournaments! Every week, you have from Monday to Sunday to compete with your friends on four different levels. The pig-popper with the best overall score will earn a gold trophy, with silver and bronze for second and third place. Unlike crowns, trophies are yours forever! How many can you collect?

New Weekly Levels

Angry Birds Friends has four new levels exclusively in tournament mode! Make sure to check back for new levels every week!

Earn more power-ups

In addition to the daily rewards you already get, you can now earn power-ups through tournament mode. Earn three power-ups bundles for a gold trophy, two for silver, and one for bronze. You also get a power-up for each tournament level you play, and one for participating in the tournament!
