Update: Twitter has now updated its Status blog, indicating this is an issue for Chrome users, and that they’re working on it:
“Some users may currently be experiencing site issues on Chrome; our engineers are working on resolving this issue.”
The desktop version of Twitter appears to be experiencing some outages for some users.
There is currently now message about it on Twitter’s status blog. In fact, the last update was from May 20th.
@twitter seems to be down, but if in #StLouis dont miss Broadway Oyster Bar @oysterbarstl. Incredible Cajun food, awesome #blues. #stl
@mychiller I’m OK. Are you OK? First 911 goes down, then Twitter. #redalert
While it appears to be working fine for me, some others in the office have also been experiencing outages, with the message: “no data received”. I am, however, having some trouble viewing my Twitter lists, as are others.
There’s no question that the Fail Whale makes a lot less appearances these days than in years past, but clearly Twitter is not completely issue-free.
