I am honestly frustrated with the lack of good game trailers these days. In an attempt to be the most gritty realistic shooter in the world, trailers have lost their way. They just aren’t fun anymore in the way they used to be. Thank the heavens Borderlands 2 is here to brighten up my day.
The latest trailer for Gearbox Software’s Borderlands 2 accomplishes two things – it shows more gameplay than even before and sets it all to the catchy tune of “The Lion Sleeps Tonight.” If that sounds like an impossible combination, just watch the trailer. I’ll wait for you.
Was that the best trailer you’ve seen all year or not? I mean, it has everything you could ever hope from a game – big guns, great visual stye, expressive characters and Claptrap singing along to Wimoweh. I agree wholeheartedly with many of the YouTube commenters who expressed delight in regards to this wonderful trailer.
Borderlands 2 will be out on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC on September 18. You can pre-order the game to get a lot of goodies. While you’re at it, you can get the special edition or the super awesome special edition with fries. It’s your choice, but I think $150 is a fair price for a chest of awesome.
