Humphries mocks Kanye: Kim Kardashian’s ex Kris Humphries may have been one of the subjects of mockery in Kanye West’s song “Way Too Cold”, but he’s getting the last laugh after being re-signed to the Brooklyn Nets in a two-year contract…and tweeting about it.
In the song, Kanye spits:
And I’ll admit, I fell in love with Kim
‘Round the same time she fell in love with him
Well that’s cool baby girl, do your thing
Lucky I ain’t have Jay drop him from the team
The reference at the end, for those who don’t know, is about Jay-Z, who happens to co-own the team and is a good friend of Kanye’s. Apparently that little dig didn’t sit well with Humphries, because he took to Twitter to announce his contract and threw in a dig of his own.
I’m up at Brooklyn! @S_C_ “lucky I didn’t have Jay drop me from the team” lol!
Humphries will be paid a whopping $24 million for those two years, up from about $8 million last year. He may not have Kim, but he’s trying desperately to prove he doesn’t need her.
