Google just announced the Google Cloud Platform Partner Program, which the company says provides partners with tools, training and resources they need to address their business’ IT needs.

The program allows for two different types of partners: service partners and technology partners. The former provide consulting and implementation services on various Google Cloud Platform products, and the latter provide tools that integrate with Google’s platform or use one of its services as the foundation for their products.

Here’s a look at the program’s current partners:

On its Enterprise Blog, Google provides several examples of how partners have already helped various businesses.

“For example, Orangescape Technologies, one of our partners, integrated Google App Engine as part of their platform to help United Biscuits, a leading manufacturer of biscuits and snacks in Europe, migrate their legacy Lotus Notes applications to the cloud,” writes Eric Morse, Head of Sales and Business Development at Google Cloud Platform.

Ci&T built a quation app on Google App Engine to help an insurance company provide better policy quotes to customers. Agosto built a smartphone app running Google App Engine to help the Minneapolis Loppet Foundation register participants in a ski event. PA Consulting built a crowd-sourced app on Google App Engine and Google Maps for MetOffice to provide weather forecasts.

Those are all in the Service Partners category. Tech partners use Google Compute Engine, Google BigQuery or Google Cloud Storage.
