Ubisoft continues to impress with the amount of game footage they can weave into a trailer. In addition to the nearly constant Assassin’s Creed 3 trailers, the publisher is also releasing regularly-scheduled trailers for Far Cry 3.
Today’s Far Cry 3 trailers involve a long demo of the huge single-player sandbox campaign and monkey suicide bombers.
The gameplay trailer shows 14 minutes of early Far Cry 3 gameplay. A couple of the game’s developers walk viewers through the process of climbing a radio tower, crafting, driving, gearing up, and, of course, shooting bad guys. It also gives players a sense of how big the single player campaign’s area is (it’s huge) and the quest system, which will give players mmo-style fetch or kill quests (like hunting bears with a shotgun.)
The other trailer shows off the Monkey Business add-on for Far Cry 3. It features a new character who uses monkeys as mobile bomb carriers. It’s silly, but it provides 4 unique missions and one hour of gameplay, according to Ubisoft. It’s also only available for those who order the “Insane Collector Edition” of the game.
