The world’s oldest Facebook user–as proclaimed and celebrated by Mark Zuckerberg himself this summer–has been ousted by a New Mexico woman who claims to be 105 years old.
Florence Detlor, who turned 101 this year, was given special attention by Zuckerberg and the rest of the Facebook staff as being the oldest user of the social media site and had over 4,000 friends; her page still proudly proclaims her to be the oldest user.
However, a woman by the name of Maria Colunia Seguar-Metzgar says she just turned 105 and is an avid user of the site, but the problem is that Facebook won’t allow her to put in her accurate age; it only goes up to 101. Seguar-Metzgar, who was born in 1907 and married in the ’20s, says she mostly uses Facebook to communicate with family and to let everyone know she’s “still alive and kicking“.
