Pinterest Launches Website Verification

Pinterest announced that it is launching website verification, in order to let users verify when they are the owner of the site associated with their Pinterest profile.

As Pinterest becomes a bigger player in ecommerce, this feature is going to be all the more important, as customers want to be able to trust who they’re buying goods from.

When your site is verified, your Pinterest will show a checkmark by your domain in search results, and people will see the full website URL and checkmark on your actual profile.

If people are looking to buy something through Pinterest, they’re likely going to look at the ones with checkmarks first, if these sites are offering what they’re looking for.

The verification feature will be rolling out on the web this week. To verify your site, go to the Settings page, and click on the Verify Website button. The feature is only supporting top-level domains for now, but will support additional options in the future.
