A 74-year old man in New Zealand was arrested and held during Prince Charles and Camilla’s tour of the country recently after it was discovered he had a plot to throw horse manure on the royal couple.
Sam Bracanov was quite vocal about his thwarted attempt, saying, “I was going to mix it with water, stir it around and make it easy to throw and then throw it at them,” he said. “Royalty smells, so what difference does it make if I hit them?”
The anti-royalist was captured less than an hour before Charles arrived in downtown Auckland; he has been ordered to stay at least 500 yards from the royal family. The man has been in trouble with the law before for his protesting past. Charles and Camilla are in New Zealand as part of the last stretch of their Pacific tour to celebrate the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.
Disappointed to learn that a) this didn’t happen, and b) it wasn’t Prince Charles throwing the manure: http://t.co/yPl5b9aX
