Angelina Jolie has so far been pretty successful at balancing motherhood, an acting career, and being a traveling ambassador for underdeveloped countries; but she says all that will likely change when her kids get a bit older.
“I think I’m going to have to give up the acting as the kids hit the teenage years, anyway, too much to manage at home,” she said in a recent interview, in which she also spoke about victims of warzone rape.
Of course, talk of leaving the business immediately perked up the ears of the media, and rumors are flying that we won’t be seeing her in films anytime soon. But Jolie quickly clarified that she would wait until the kids–Maddox, 11, Pax, 9, Zahara, 8, Shiloh, 6, and 4-year old twins Knox and Vivienne–are older.
For now, Jolie insists she has no intentions of leaving the silver screen despite her many obligations. Her next project isn’t due out until 2014, but from the looks of it, “Maleficent” will be well worth the wait.
