Google is running a homepage doodle celebrating Grimm’s Fairy Tales in parts of the world where it is already Thursday (presumably, we’ll be seeing it here in the United States when the date changes).
It’s been a while since we’ve had an animated doodle, so it’s nice to see a fun one make its way to the homepage once again. Here you can see the animation in action (via State Of Search):
Unlike this week’s Nutcracker doodle, this one does point us to Google’s Knowledge Graph results, where we see some info from Wikipedia, and the other things that people who search for Grimm’s Fairy Tales search for. These include: Little Red Riding Hood, Aesop’s Fables, The Pied Piper of Hamelin and The Three Bears.
This is just the latest in a recent string of literature-related doodles we’ve seen from Google. Other recent doodles include those honoring Bram Stoker and Herman Melville.
