A viral video has popped back up on the web after over two years, and the subject says she’d love to take another shot at the show that made her a sensation, if they’ll have her.
26-year old Caitlin Burke was a contestant on “Wheel of Fortune” in 2010 when she got the chance of a lifetime: to solve a puzzle using just one letter. When she did it, even veteran host Pat Sajak was blown away.
“Wait a minute. Let me get over this first,” he said incredulously. “Is it just me, or was that the most amazing solve we’ve ever had?”
Burke says she’s always just had a knack for the game and grew up watching the show with her family. While her dad and brother were better at “Jeopardy!”, she says her thing was solving word puzzles. A good thing, too, because that skill won her over $50,000 and a trip to the Caribbean.
Burke says she’d love to go back on the show for a tournament of champions edition, if they ever decide to do one. And her sudden fame and internet glory?
“It’s been crazy. (It’s) more than I could ever imagine. And even just my friends and people that I haven’t talked to in awhile are saying such nice things. It’s really great,” she said.
