“Here Comes Honey Boo Boo” has been a sensation ever since it hit the airwaves last year, and while the family of little Alana Thompson says they don’t feel like they’ve let fame change them, one member of the show says they have, and he’s not happy about it.

“Crazy” Tony, who has appeared on the show several times and was thought to be a cousin to the family (he’s not, Mama June clarifies, just a crazy friend), says he can’t believe June has banned him from being on the show after he was arrested for taking part in what she called a “dangerous” prank involving scaring motorists on the highway while wearing a gorilla suit.

“We love him as a friend … but that was a crazy story. Not trying to be mean, but we want to keep it family oriented,” June said.

Of course, she could be trying to do some preemptive damage control, as the family has certainly had its fair share of controversy and critiques over the past several months. As soon as the show hit TLC, June and her daughters were picked apart by the media, where everything was fair game…including her arrest several years ago. As for “Crazy” Tony? He just had one thing to say:

“TV’s changed that family.”
