Run! Jump! Slide! Tilt!
Temple Run 2, which we first told you arrived in the New Zealand App Store yesterday, has officially launched in the U.S. The sequel, like its predecessor, is free-to-play. The original Temple Run is one of the more popular games in iOS, generating over 170 million downloads.
Temple Run 2 promises “beautiful new graphics, gorgeous new organic environments, new obstacles, more powerups, more achievements, and a bigger monkey.” But it also retains much of the same gameplay feel that made the original so popular.
And good news, Android users – your game is coming pretty soon. Temple Run devs Imangi Studios’ co-founder Keith Shepherd told Polygon that the Android version of Temple Run 2 is “almost done” and should launch some time next week in Google Play. He did caution that it’s not set in stone, and that the scheduled launch is still tentative.
Meanwhile, iOS users can download the brand new game today.
