Jesse Eisenberg “Humiliates” Reporter During Interview
Written by Amanda Crum

Jesse Eisenberg played Facebook creator Mark Zuckerberg in “The Social Network” as a brilliant, somewhat dickish college student with a very dry sense of humor, and he’s gained a reputation for being that way in real life. Now, after an interview promoting his new film “Now You See Me”, a female reporter says he “humiliated” her with his attitude.

Romina Puga wrote a blog post about the interview afterwards, and the first thing that pops out at the reader is “Jesse Eisenberg isn’t very nice.” After a couple of minutes of back-and-forth in which Eisenberg appears to be trying to remember how to flirt and failing miserably, this exchange happens:

J: You know the comedian Carrot Top?

R: Yes. He’s horrible.

J: Well… (He points down as in saying ‘don’t say that just yet’) You are like the Carrot Top of interviewers. Yeah because you know they rely on props instead of just their own… you know…

R: Ok. I’m going to cry now.

J: No. Don’t cry now. Cry after the interview is over, because otherwise it’ll look like I was responsible for it.

R: Well, you are.

J: Well, I don’t want to know that though.

R: Well, now you know.

Now, Eisenberg is being put on blast all around the web for his attitude during the interview. He has yet to comment on it or on Puga’s blog post, so the reason behind his behavior is up to us to decipher. Low blood sugar? Or maybe no one understands his sense of humor. Either way, he’s not doing much to help his reputation.
