Anna Paquin and “True Blood” co-star/husband Stephen Moyer have worked hard to shield their infant twins from the media glare, and that includes not releasing their names to the public for the first nine months of their lives.
At the recent premiere of the show’s sixth season, Moyer let it slip that he would happily be spending Father’s Day with his wife and babies, Charlie and Poppy. It seems the couple have chosen to continue the flower theme with the girls, as Moyer has another daughter from a previous marriage named Lilac.
The couple have no doubt been enjoying some parental advice from co-star Sam Tramell, who plays bar owner Sam Merlotte and is the father of twins in real life.
“It’s harder, having twins, but it’s all we know. So we’re trying to impart some decent wisdom,” Trammell said. “I told them to hold on tight!”
Moyer, who has another child in addition to Lilac, said when the babies were born that he was ecstatic about the new additions despite the insanity of pulling double duty.
“I love my kids beyond anything,” Moyer said.”They’re the best things ever, and having two more is just going to be even more crazy, but that’s cool!”
Paquin made headlines last year when she discussed her bisexuality in Zooey Magazine, saying that it was meaningful to her despite the fact that she’s now married and a mother.
“I think it’s a really minor biographical detail,” she said. “If you’re going to talk about some cause in a way that’s meaningful, you should identify why it means something to you. For me, it’s not really an issue because I’m someone who believes being bisexual is actually a thing. It’s not made up. It’s not a lack of decision. It’s not being greedy or numerous other ignorant things I’ve heard at this point. For a bisexual, it’s not about gender. That’s not the deciding factor for who they’re attracted to.”
