Telltale Games made everybody a fan of the adventure game genre last year with season one of The Walking Dead. We’re still a few months away from a second season, but the storytellers at Telltale have something in store to tide you over.

At E3, Telltale Games announced The Walking Dead 400 Days as new DLC content for The Walking Dead. The new episode will serve as a bridge of sorts between season one and two with the choices made in the episode impacting events in season two. Here’s the full synopsis:

Centered on a truck stop on a Georgia highway, The Walking Dead – 400 Days is a DLC episode for Season One of Telltale’s award-winning game series. 400 Days tells five linked stories; each taking place at different points in time and from the point of view of a different survivor, from day one of the undead apocalypse to day 400.

The five stories can be played in any order and will change based on the choices that you make. Echoes of the choices you made in Season 1 will carry over into 400 Days and the choices you make in 400 Days will resonate into Season 2.

In a FAQ on the developer’s Web site, Telltalle says that 400 Days will not feature Lee or Clementine in any way. Instead, the developers say the DLC episode serves as “interesting connective tissue between the two seasons.”

The Walking Dead 400 Days will cost $4.99 when it’s made available soon for Xbox 360, PS3, PS Vita, PC and Mac.
