Hockey is a most noble sport defined by the coolest goaltenders ever. I would give anything to wear that armor, and the improvements being made to EA Sports NHL 14 will bring me one step closer to Goldberg.
EA says that they have improved the goalie game in NHL 14 over the last game by allowing the goalies to not only track multiple threats, but accurately track where the primary threat is. In the trailer, the gameplay producer runs us through a number of simulations showing how the goalies in the latest game will react to a variety of scenarios involving two or more attacking players.
Fans of hockey don’t have much choice when it comes to video games, but it looks like EA Sports is delivering another decent game with NHL 14. It’s unknown if everything will receive as much attention as the goalie gameplay, but we can only hope, right?
NHL 14 will be released on September 10 for the Xbox 360 and PS3. Sorry, there’s no next-gen version this year, but maybe next year.
