Back in May, Warner Bros. and 5h Cell announced that the next Scribblenauts title will be DC Comics-branded. The game, titled Scribblenauts Unmasked: A DC Comics Adventure, will feature over 2,000 characters from the DC Comics universe. 5th Cell even claimed that every character to ever appear in a DC comic book will be in Unmasked. That’s a bold claim, though the Scribblenauts series has always impressed with its seemingly endless number of create-able nouns.
Today, Warner Bros. announced that Unmasked will hit store shelves on September 24. The familiar Maxwell will be journeying through famous DC Comic locations such as Metropolis, Gotham City, and Atlantis. He will be helping heroes such as Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman in their fight against villains such as Lex Luthor and The Joker.
Speaking of Superman, along with the release date announcement Warner Bros. has created an infographic to demonstrate that not only will all DC superheroes be in the game, but many of their variations over the years will also be available. As seen in the image, Superman variations such as Red Son Superman and Superman Beyond will be included.
