Former Major League Baseball player Danny Tartabull has a new claim to fame: Los Angeles County’s most wanted deadbeat dad. The former right fielder owes $276,204.93 in child support payments for his two sons, according to the L.A. County Child Support Services Department.

Tartabull was featured on the child services department’s most wanted poster after pleading no-contest to an earlier charge, but failing to meet the terms of his probation and failing to surrender for his 180-jail sentence, Deadspin reported on Tuesday.

Tartabull was first charged with failing to pay child support for his sons Zach and Quinten in January 2011. He was ordered to serve time in county jail on May 2, 2012, reported UPI.com. When he failed to appear, a warrant was issued for his arrest and bail was set at $200,000.

The former ballplayer began his career with the Cincinnati Reds in 1980 and moved on to the Royals, Yankees, Mariners and White Sox before retiring in 1997. He made nearly $33,000,000 during his 17-year career.

Tartabull is also known for making cameo appearances in Seinfeld and Married…with Children.
