Just a little over a month after winning his second straight NBA championship with the Miami Heat, guard Dwyane Wade’s divorce settlement has been finalized.

After six years of a very public and messy divorce, a judge ruled that Wade would have to pay his ex-wife, Sioh­vaughn Funches-Wade, $5 million.

Funches-Wade received four cars and the couples former home in Chicago. The settlement also states that neither party can make any disparaging remarks about each other. What constitutes a disparaging remark still needs to be determined, but Wade’s attorney James B. Pritikin, expects a violation to result in a fine.

It seems Funches-Wade got her last, legal disparaging remark in under the wire. Last week, Funches-Wade sat outside a Chicago courthouse implying she was homeless because Wade wasn’t financially supporting her.

According to Pritikin, Wade has been paying his ex-wife $25,000 a month. He also paid her mortgage, paid for four cars, insurance, taxes and the fees for the 16 attorneys she used during the divorce and custody battles.

Wade was granted full custody of the couple’s two sons in 2011 after a separate court battle. The boys continue to be Wade’s main priority, and future visitations for Funches-Wade are still undecided. Pritikin states, “Due to Ms. Funches’ current unstable mental state, her visitation will be determined by the court. Mr. Wade continues to hope that one day he will have a civil relationship with his ex-wife for the sake of their sons.”

Visitation rights were suspended for Funches-Wade after she was arrested in 2012 for attempted child abduction.

The basketball star posted a selfie on his Instagram on Monday not long after news of the settlement broke. He captioned the photo with, “I had my headphones on.. Did y’all hear something????..#stopit #dontbefooled #storiessellpapers #movingon.”

Wade was the fifth pick in the 2003 NBA draft by the Miami Heat. He helped lead the Heat to their first NBA championship in franchise history in 2006.
