The producers of CBS’ comedy, “Two and a Half Men”, have cast Amber Tamblyn for the upcoming 11th season.

Tamblyn’s character, Jenny, is the lesbian daughter of the late Charlie Harper, who was played by Charlie Sheen. Apparently, Harper fathered Jenny in one of his many flings that his character was so prone to having. Jenny has returned to re-connect with her family after her father’s death.

So far, Tamblyn is scheduled to appear in five episodes, but it has been reported that if the character works out, she could be appearing more often.

Thirty-year-old Tamblyn has also appeared in many television shows and movies including: “House,” “Joan of Arcadia”, “General Hospital”, “The Ring,” “The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants,” and “Django Unchained.”

The comedy creator, Chuck Lorre, explained why they chose to add a woman to the mix. “I think it would be great to have a voice on the show from a different perspective,” he explained. “The show has had enough testosterone to last a lifetime. Part of the fun in this has been creating a character that is equal to the task of stepping on the stage with Jon Cryer and Ashton Kutcher. That’s a big job,” Lorre added. “The idea of the character brings a healthy amount of decadence, which is always fun on Two and a Half Men.”

The show was renewed in April. Tambyln’s appearance isn’t the only thing that will be different this season. The “half” of “Two and a Half Men”, Angus T. Jones, will no longer be a series regular, but instead has been bumped down to a recurring role, after his rant that went viral. “If you watch Two and a Half Men, please stop watching Two and a Half Men,” the actor said. “I’m on Two and a Half Men, and I don’t want to be on it. Please stop watching it, and filling your head with filth…people say it’s just entertainment. Do some research on the effects of television and your brain, and I promise you you’ll have a decision to make when it comes to television, especially with what you watch. Jake from Two and a Half Men means nothing.”

“Two and a Half Men” season 11 will premier Sept. 26 on CBS.
