Last week, Activision wrapped up its current Call of Duty release schedule by announcing the final map pack DLC for Call of Duty: Black Ops II. With that out of the way, the publisher is now focusing its attention on its next-generation title, Call of Duty: Ghosts.
As promised earlier this week, a new trailer showing off the multiplayer gameplay in Ghosts has been released. As with the original reveal of Ghosts during Microsoft’s Xbox One announcement conference, military dogs are once again heavily featured. Unsurprisingly, the multiplayer gameplay in Ghosts appears to be largely similar to previous Call of Duty titles. New mechanics such as leaning around corners and sliding are also shown in action.
One new twist revealed in the video is the new Search and Rescue multiplayer mode. The competitive mode will have players drop dog tags as they die, and teammates will have to collect those same tags to revive players. Enemies, however, can take dog tags to prevent players on the other team from respawning.
A mode called Cranked, new weapons, and female soldiers are also previewed in the trailer, which features a pretty intense Eminem song:
