It seems that the year end rush of AAA titles keeps on starting earlier and earlier. Just five years ago, games like Splinter Cell Blacklist would be released in October or November. Now these games are coming out in August and Ubisoft has the unenviable position of advertising a game like Splinter Cell Blacklist while also reminding gamers that it still has Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag and Watch Dogs coming out later this year.

In its attempt to remind you that Splinter Cell Blacklist exists, Ubisoft has released the final launch trailer for the title before its release on August 20. It hypes up the usual Splinter Cell story about terrorist plots while highlighting the action-packed set pieces that every AAA must have these days.

The trailer doesn’t delve into the series’ traditionally strong multiplayer, but you can find out more about there in our previous coverage. Just know that Ubisoft is bringing back everything that fans loved about the previous games. In fact, critics are loving the game thus far, and are heaping a lot of praise on the multiplayer.

Splinter Cell Blacklist will be available on August 20 for the PS3, Xbox 360, PC and Wii U.
