Google announced on Thursday that it is making Quickoffice free for everyone. The product had been free for Google Apps for Business customers, but now it’s free for anybody with a Google account.

Google acquired the productivity software in June of 2012. Later that year, the company launched the Quickoffice iPad app. In April, they launched apps for Android and iPhone.

“Quickoffice has been a part of the Google family for over a year now and we’ve been focused on making it easier for you to get work done in Drive — no matter what type of document you need to work with,” writes Google Drive Engineering VP Alan Warren in a blog post. “Converting old files to Google Docs, Sheets and Slides is still the easiest way to share and work together, and we’re working every day to make the files you convert look better. But sometimes the people you work with haven’t gone Google yet…”

“Quickoffice is integrated with Google Drive so you can safely and easily store and access your files across devices,” he writes. “Users who currently have Quickoffice for Google Apps for Business can update their app to the new version and will notice a new icon.”

Quickoffice is also getting some new features, such as the ability to create.ZIP folders and view charts in Excel and PowerPoint files. If you sign into your Google account from the new Android or iOS app by September 26th, they’ll give you an extra 10GB of Google Drive storage for two years. That alone pretty much makes it worth doing so.
