Back in July, developer City Interactive Games detailed Alien Rage, a downloadeble shooter for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC. Along with the description came a cinematic trailer that showed off the game’s setting and art design (a bit Warhammer-ish).
Players take on the role of space warriors trying to claim valuable asteroid minerals while fighting off alien civilizations trying to do the same. According to City Interactive, the game has 14 different levels, 10 “epic” weapons to choose from, and several “mega-sized” bosses. The developer is touting the game as “unforgiving,” with enemy AI that will challenge even seasoned shooter fans.
The release of Alien Rage is now just one day away from release on PC through Steam, and City Interactive has released a launch trailer for the title. Though the first half of the video uses pieces of the announcement cinematic trailer, the second half previews some classic 90s PC-style shooter action:
City Interactive is the polish developer behind the Sniper: Ghost Warrior games. The studio is also behind various PC adventue game series, such as Art of Murder and Chronicles of Mystery. Alien Rage will be coming to PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Arcade sometime in “Autumn 2013.”
