Catriona McGinn and Mark-Paul Gosselaar welcomed the newest addition to their family on Monday, September 30.

Gosselaar already has two children, 7-year-old, Ava Lorenn, and 9-year-old, Michael Charles, from his previous marriage to Lisa Ann Russell. However, Dekker Edward Gosselaar, is the first child born to McGinn.

The, “Saved by the Bell”, star says that they are so excited to welcome their little boy into the world. “We are overjoyed with the new addition to our family. We are madly in love with our little boy,” he told People. ”He is healthy and just perfect — all we could ask for.”

Even though Gosselaar didn’t share the gender of the baby when speaking to People a couple of weeks ago, he still discussed the unique name that they had chosen. “It is not traditional and it is not too quirky. It is different, but it’s not something odd,” he said.

McGinn and Gosselaar were married in July 2012. Only eight months after exchanging their vows, the couple announced that they were expecting their first child together.

“We’ve always wanted a big family,” Gosselaar said. “The kids are looking forward to a little sibling, and are asking a lot of funny questions right now.”
