More than one year ago, publisher THQ announced that the final planned DLC expansion for Saints Row The Third, titled Enter the Dominatrix, had been cancelled. Much of the content created for the add-on was rolled into the development of Saints Row IV. Themes such as an alien invasion and computer-world super powers that were planned for Enter the Dominatrix eventually made up a large portion of Saints Row IV.
Though THQ never got to benefit from its decision to turn the expansion into a full game, publisher Deep Silver has allowed Volition to continue its crazy Saints Row franchise, and Enter the Dominatrix is now making a return. Deep Silver today announced that Enter the Dominatrix will be released on October 22. The content will cost $7 but is also part of the Saints Row IV Season Pass.
The content is now an “alternate take on the Zin invasion storyline” seen in Saints Row IV. Players will battle armies of “gimps and sex-workers” as the battle a corrupt AI named the Dominatrix. In its announcement, Deep Silver referred to the content as “appropriately freaky stuff.” There is no word yet on whether the content will be approved for release in Australia.
In addition to Enter the Dominatrix, Saints Row IV will be getting one more DLC campaign expansion. How the Saints Saved Christmas will be released sometime “later this year” (presumably sometime around Christmas).
