SNL delivers the laughs once again by spoofing the viral hit The Fox (What Does the Fox Say?) by Ylvis. Scandal star Kerry Washington hosted SNL this past weekend and starred alongside Jay Pharaoh in their version of The Fox, which they called What Does My Girl Say?
Check out the parody below in which Pharaoh gets in a little hot water after his girlfriend (played by Washington) sees a text from another woman pop up on his outdated iPhone while watching The Fox. Oops.
The parody video from SNL has gotten thousands of hits so far. Quite a few Twitter users found The Fox SNL video hilarious.
Finally saw the fox video this weekend, thanks to #SNL. How did I miss that? @maisiebeagle claims foxes say HALP! A BEAGLE! RUN AWAY!

And just in case you missed the song SNL is parodying, check out Ylvis’ The Fox below. Warning–you may regret it.
And back to the episode–this was Washington’s first time hosting SNL, which comes just after the show came under fire for its lack of black female cast members. Cast member Kenan Thompson addressed the issue in mid-October by saying he didn’t want to play black female characters anymore, which prompted some civil rights groups to ask the show’s producer about the lack of diversity in the cast.
As the show opened on Saturday, a voiceover apologized to Washington for “the number of black women she will be asked to play.” Washington played Michelle Obama, Oprah and Beyonce on the show.
“We make these requests because Ms. Washington is an actress of considerable range and talent–and also because SNL does not currently have a black woman on the cast. Mostly the latter,” the voiceover said. “We agree this is not an ideal situation and look forward to rectifying it in the near future, unless, of course, we fall in love with another white guy first.”
