A Georgia man who was messing with a cigarette lighter next to a gas pump accidentally set his wife on fire, and now a warrant has been issued for his arrest.
37-year old Austin Dawkins will be charged with reckless conduct after a gas station surveillance video captured him flicking the lighter dangerously close to the gas tank of the truck his wife was refueling. The video shows horrifying footage of flames leaping from the gas tank and onto 30-year old Jessica Dawkins as she turns and begins to run. She reportedly suffered 2nd and 3rd degree burns over most of her body and was flown to a hospital in Atlanta. She has since been released.
Dawkins could face up to a year in prison and/or $1,000 fine if convicted.
