Yesterday, millions across the world were taken aback by the sudden loss of ‘The Fast and Furious’ star, Paul Walker. He suffered an untimely death when he was killed in a single-car crash.

According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, his red Porsche Carrera GT crashed into a light standard on Hercules St. near Constellation Rd. in the Rye Canyon Business Park district of Santa Clarita, CA.

The driver lost control of the vehicle, and it immediately went up into flames and exploded.

Walker and an unidentified person were said to be taking the car out for a joyride. Fox News reports that the driver of the vehicle was Walker’s close friend, Roger Rodas. Rodas was a former race car driver and close friend to Walker. He was in town for a car show in support of the Typhoon Haiyan relief effort at the time of the accident.

While hearing and reading the story is tumultuous enough, now the video of the fiery crash has hit the Web. Late yesterday evening, ChiMotorTrend uploaded the grueling video. The 56-second starts right after the vehicle’s impact with the light standard. It goes on to capture vehicle gradually going up in flames.

A number of spectators weighed in with the Santa Clarita Valley Signal with their experiences during the fatal crash. “We all ran around and jumped in cars and grabbed fire extinguishers and immediately went to the vehicle,” Antonio Holmes, a friend of Walker, told the Valley Signal. “It was engulfed in flames. There was nothing. They were trapped. Employees, friends of the shop. We tried. We tried. We went through fire extinguishers.”

The LA County Coroner’s Department is currently investigating the cause of the accident. No further information has been released as of yet. However, an array of pictures have slowly begun to popular on the Web. Most of the images capture the unidentifiable Porsche in flames, and the minimal remains of it.
