Ron Burgundy is making the rounds on various newscasts. The popular character was first brought to life by actor and comedian, Will Ferrell, in the 2004 movie, Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy. In order to promote the release of the upcoming December Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues, Ron Burgundy made his first appearance as part of an actual television broadcast with co-host Amber Schatz through KXMB. The 30-minute broadcast saw Burgundy make comedic quips such as, “What? Am I supposed to read that?”
The famous mustached-reporter of the silver screen also signed on to participate in Canada’s TSN December 1st broadcast of Roar of the Rings located in Winnipeg. Burgundy spoke about the TSN event. “Winnipeg, get ready to paint the town Burgundy! Marked by the gods of broadcasting and placed into this shimmering green sphere like a golden egg in hay, chosen like an unclean jackal by Noah himself, I accept your hallowed task and sing out with a battle cry worthy of your love and your wisdom.”
Ticket sales and viewings increased for the previous events due to Burgundy’s involvement, which has resulted in heightened enthusiasm for the opening of the second Ron Burgundy film. Fans have shared their approval of the Burgundy sightings through Twitter.

Anyone who might have missed the appearances should not be disappointed as there is one more scheduled event. Ron Burgundy is slated to host the December 5th SportsCenter event at 6 p.m. according to The Big Lead.
Ron Burgundy will be hosting @ESPN sportscenter on Thursday, and it might be the most legit coverage of sports on ESPiN in a long time.
